Mary is a Trustee of the New Nicotine Alliance (NNA). She is a former local government councillor (Aylesbury Vale, UK) and is currently Chief of Staff to a Member of the UK Parliament.
Prior to taking up her current role Mary worked for the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (Conservative) programme. She went on to work at the UK Department of Education in data analysis, policy, communications and research. Mary was later based in the UK Department of Health as a project co-ordinator for the Primary Care Improvement Team; and then as a project and policy manager in the Office of the Chief Scientific Officer for England.
Mary has a long-standing interest in harm reduction, evidence-based research, and in the ways in which international cooperation can promote improved health and quality of life globally.
